PREPARATION TIME: 10’

INGREDIENTS

  1. 50g Popcorn kernels
  2. 150g Sugar
  3. 50g Water
  4. 2 tsp Butter
  5. Olive oil
  6. Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Place a non-stick pot with a lid over high heat. Add enough olive oil to cover the bottom of the pot. Once the oil is hot, add the popcorn kernels and cover with the lid. When the popping sound stops, remove the pot from the heat and transfer the popcorn to a bowl, seasoning with salt.

In a non-stick pan, add the water and sugar and heat over low heat. Stir lightly at the beginning and allow the mixture to boil. Once the color changes to a light brown (caramel-like), add the butter. Stir until melted, then remove the pan from the heat. Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn in the bowl and mix well to coat evenly.

Allow the popcorn to cool, and then it’s ready to serve.
