Ingredients

  1. 500g Pappardelle pasta
  2. 1 kg tomato sauce
  3. 1 garlic clove
  4. 1 container cream cheese
  5. 300g Anthotyro cheese (Greek soft cheese)
  6. 1 pinch thyme
  7. 1 pinch oregano
  8. 1 bay leaf
  9. Salt
  10. Freshly ground pepper
  11. ¼ cup olive oil
  12. 2-3 fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • First, combine all the ingredients for the sauce (tomato, oil, garlic, and herbs) and let it boil for 10 minutes.
  • Add the pappardelle pasta, lower the heat, and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper and add the grated anthotyro cheese.
  • Mix well and sprinkle with a bit of fresh basil. Serve immediately!
